The Her CyberTracks team is announcing the launch of the second edition of the Her CyberTracks programme, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and co-implemented by ITU, GIZ and UNODC.
Background
Her CyberTracks promotes the equal, full and meaningful participation of women in cybersecurity by equipping women with the necessary skills and mindset to succeed in the field. Participants get access to a one-stop curriculum based on three pillars: TRAIN MENTOR, INSPIRE.
Applicants may choose among the following CyberTracks for the corresponding target audiences:
Policy & Diplomacy CyberTrack | Women in policy (cyber, ICT, peace & security) Women in technical roles interested in policy and diplomacy | |
Incident Response CyberTrack | Women working in IT wishing to enter cybersecurity Women at entry level in CERT/SOC teams | |
Criminal Justice CyberTrack | Women working in the criminal justice sector involved in or aiming to enter cybersecurity and countering cybercrime fields |
Her CyberTracks currently addresses women in the public sector from West Africa, the Western Balkans, and selected Eastern Partnership countries.
Programme details
The programme will be delivered between June and October 2024. Participants will be expected to commit to the full programme duration and attend online sessions, mentorship meetings and complete both online and onsite trainings to receive a certificate.
The online curriculum and mentorship will feature a regional 3-day event on-site with soft skills masterclasses, hands-on trainings, simulation exercises, study visits to cybersecurity organizations, and engaging networking events. Limited sponsorships are available for travel and accommodation.
For mentors, the focus is on the mentorship. Thus, mentors are not expected to complete the full curriculum but may attend the on-site events given availability.
